Casement windows vary greatly in detail and design and it is Woodland’s faithful recreation of period detailing, combined with modern performance that sets our windows apart. Our flush casement windows are made to measure and may be manufactured to replicate your existing windows or to suit your individual requirements. Either way, our designers will work with you to ensure your new wooden windows bring out the best in your home.
In response to the problem of noise pollution Woodland now offers a range of windows incorporating acoustic glass and superior acoustic seals to meet the demands of the noisiest urban environments including flight paths and busy roads.
All Woodland box sash windows feature Accoya™ wood.
Accoya™ is an FSC certified, low maintenance, extremely durable timber with exceptional dimensional stability and UV resistance guaranteed for 50 years against timber rot and 25 years if used underwater.
Solid cast fittings by UK manufacturer Croft complete the look of every Woodland timber casement window. Side hung casements are fitted with a traditionally styled locking handle and all opening casement are held open with a matching casement stay.
Side hung casements incorporate a concealed multi-point espagnolette lock to ‘Secured by Design’ standards. This high security lock system also enables the window to be locked in an open ‘night-vent’ position. Opening top lights are fitted with insurance approved locks.
Woodland casement windows feature high security, multi-point locking as standard.
Tested to 100,000 cycles and designed to meet the most rigorous of standards, Kendricks Excalibur locks are the only choice of casement window lock for complete peace of mind.
All Woodland, windows and doors are factory finished in 3 coats Teknos microporous paint. This is a premium quality, environmentally friendly, low maintenance paint designed to keep your products looking like new for years to come, even in the harshest environments.
Standard paint system: Teknos clean white internally and externally.
Optional: Gloss finish, dual colour (different colour inside /out), stained finish, or colour matching to all well-known brands of paint, including Farrow & Ball, Fired Earth, Little Greene and Paper & Paints to name a few.
Glazing is an increasingly important factor when specifying wooden sash windows, especially in period properties. Thermal performance, acoustics and heritage looks are all influenced by the choice of glass.
All double glazed units are manufactured in-house by Woodland to the current British Standard, BS-EN1279. This not only gives us total quality control, it also allows us to manufacture a wide variety of specifications including energy saving Argon and Krypton gas-filled units, slim-line heritage units and acoustic glass.
